As you prepare to attend the 2022 NIC Spring Conference, here are a few important reminders to help you take advantage of all the event has to offer.

Before You Go

NIC Conference Badges
In an effort to reduce congestion at the NIC Registration Desk, badges were mailed to attendees who registered, paid, and uploaded their vaccination card by February 18. If you received your badge in the mail and you need to make corrections, we can make updates and print a new badge for you onsite.

The app is an essential tool, both for preparation and for optimizing conference resources on site. Access the attendee list ahead of time, review the hotel floor plans, download the program, plan your schedule, message fellow attendees, post on the social wall, and so much more. Access the Attendee List
The Attendee List is available only via the NIC Conference Mobile App. Download the file and sort it. Many attendees contact each other using the list to confirm meetings ahead of time.

The final program is available for download and is also accessible via the NIC Conference Mobile App. Use this resource to get a comprehensive, easy-to-read overview of what the NIC Conference has to offer. You can even print it and view on the plane!

Schedule a Braindate™
We are excited to bring Braindate back to the 2022 NIC Spring Conference. Braindate helps you tap into the experiences and expertise of your fellow participants at the 2022 NIC Spring Conference. It’s an easy way to connect with and learn from each other through conversations about things you want to share or know more about—not where you conduct sales pitches.

During the conference, you can expect temps in the low 70s in the day and low 50s at night.

Business attire is recommended at the conference.

Once You Arrive

Stay Safe
NIC has designed the conference with attendees’ safety as a priority. Please abide by NIC’s code of conduct, use hand sanitizing stations, and try on a ‘social distance comfort button,’ which indicates whether you’re comfortable with a handshake, an elbow bump, or no contact at all.

NIC facilitates networking throughout the conference. Whether you wish to see and be seen, or break away for more intimate discussions, you will find ideal venues and resources throughout the hotel. Look for the following opportunities:

  • Networking Lounges – Gather with fellow attendees anytime, in two settings.
    • The Pegasus Networking Lounge on the Lobby Level offers a lively and comfortable smaller-scale setting.
    • The Dallas Ballroom Networking Lounge on Level 3 has ample seating and tables for business meetings and contains the following Attendee Resources: Headshot Lounge, Shoe Shine area, and LinkedIn® Corner.
  • Receptions – NIC will host two receptions, which take place on Wednesday and Thursday night. Wednesday night’s Welcome Reception will take place from 6:00 pm – 7:15 pm and will be an outdoor block party. Thursday night’s Networking Reception will take place from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm on Level 3 in the Dallas Ballroom Networking Lounge and Dallas Ballroom Foyer.
  • Meet-up Points – Find these convenient meeting locations throughout the conference, which are designed to make connecting with contacts easy.
  • First-time Attendee? Be sure to attend the following events!
    • First-time Attendee Gathering
      Located at Hop and Hens
      Wednesday, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
    • First-time Attendee Morning Meet-up
      Level 3, Dallas Ballroom Foyer
      Thursday and Friday from 8:00 am – 8:30 am

Networking Lounge Etiquette
The Networking Lounges are designed to facilitate attendee interactions, in an organic, business-friendly environment. Attendees are requested to observe good networking etiquette, while observing the following policies:

  • The only company signage or display materials permitted are those posted by NIC
  • The space must remain accessible and available at all times to all fellow conference attendees
  • Networking Lounges are accessible only by badged conference attendees

Gain Insights
The Spring Conference offers eight stand-alone, non-concurrent sessions, all conveniently located on Level 3 in the Trinity Ballroom—designed with comfortable seating and additional aisles to reduce crowding. A remote viewing area located in the Trinity Ballroom Foyer will help reduce crowding, while further improving safe, convenient access to this unique and powerful program.

Dietary Needs
Vegan and gluten-free options will be available at the NIC Café and labeled accordingly.

Kosher Accommodations
Glatt Kosher accommodations will be available onsite on Level 3 in the Dallas Ballroom Foyer next to the NIC Café. Kosher accommodations will follow the same hours at the NIC Café. There will be a kosher area at the outdoor block party on Wednesday night. Minyan will be available on Level 2 in Arts District 3.

Conference Concierges are easy to locate and are available to assist you with information and any needs you might have from masks to mobile device chargers.

Take advantage of attendee resources. Get professional help updating your online profile at the LinkedIn® Corner, enjoy gourmet coffee, get a new headshot, or a shoeshine. If you need to take a call or get some work done, use an individual private workspace.
