Nirav R. Shah, MD, MPH, is Senior Scholar at Stanford University’s School of Medicine. He is a distinguished healthcare leader with experience as a practicing physician, operator, innovator, and regulator. His expertise spans clinical operations across the continuum of care, improving health and care for older adults, Artificial Intelligence and technology, public and private health insurance, and regulatory oversight of healthcare and public health.

Dr. Shah serves as a Senior Fellow of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), Faculty Affiliate of the Stanford Center on Longevity, Council Member of the Milken Institute Center for the Future of Aging, Independent Director for STERIS plc [NYSE:STE], and Trustee of the John A. Hartford Foundation. His federal service includes membership in the Intelligence Science and Technology Experts Group in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, past service on the HHS Secretary’s Advisory Committee (Healthy People 2030), current service on the Advisory Committee for the Director of the CDC, and various committees of the National Academy of Medicine.
