Attendance Protocols

  • Will I need to be vaccinated to attend the 2022 NIC Spring Conference?

    Yes, as an elevated safety measure, we are requiring all attendees to be fully vaccinated.

    Note: If you supplied your vaccination record for the 2021 NIC Fall Conference, you do not need to resubmit your vaccination information again unless requested by NIC.

  • How do I submit my vaccination record?

    After you register for the conference, you will receive a link in your confirmation e-mail that you will use to submit an image of your vaccination card. All vaccination cards must show that you have been vaccinated no later than March 8, 2022 to be granted access to the conference. We encourage you to submit your vaccination card before you arrive at the conference.

    Note: If you supplied your vaccination record for the 2021 NIC Fall Conference, you do not need to resubmit your vaccination information again unless requested by NIC.

  • What are the current conference safety protocols?

    Please refer to the Covid-19 Safety page for the latest safety recommendations. It’s possible the protocols will be revised leading up to the conference. Check back often. Also, upon registration, you will be asked to agree to the COVID-19 Acknowledgement and Assumption of Risk and Release.


  • How do I receive my conference badge?

    If you are registered by February 18, 2022, your badge and a printed schedule at-a-glance will be mailed to you to create a more efficient check-in process. If you registered after February 18, 2022, you will pick up your conference credentials onsite at the conference at the NIC Registration Desk.

  • What if I can’t attend the conference in person, but want to participate?

    For individuals who are unable to attend the conference in person for whatever reason, we are offering remote access to the 2022 NIC Spring Conference for $795.

    Your Remote Access Registration provides you:

    • Access to the 2022 NIC Spring Conference Mobile App to view the Attendee Listing, so you can connect with conference attendees and schedule meetings (using your scheduling and meeting tools).
      • The mobile app will be released on February 21, 2022.
    • Secure access to view video recordings from the 2022 NIC Fall Conference educational programming—which will be available from April 6 to June 30, 2022.

  • Do you allow on-site registration?

    For the 2022 NIC Spring Conference, we are allowing on-site conference registration. We strongly encourage supplying your vaccination credentials ahead of the conference to ensure that you are approved to enter the space.

  • When does the Early Bird rate end?

    To take advantage of Early Bird registration rates, registrations must be received by the NIC Registrar no later than January 26, 2022 at 11:59 PM ET.

  • Can I pay by check?

    Yes, payments by check will be accepted until February 18, 2022. Registrations submitted using the check payment option are considered pending until payment is received.

    To avoid cancellation, payment must be received within 7-10 business days of submitting online registration. In the event of cancellation, hotel rooms reserved at the NIC group rate may also be cancelled by NIC. Conference re-registration will be at the current registration rates.

    Conference credentials will not be mailed to anyone who has not paid in full by February 18, 2022. Please note that registrations purchased using company checks/credit cards can be cancelled by company personnel on your behalf.

    To pay by credit card, after selecting the check payment option, please select the “already registered” button, enter email address and confirmation number, and submit payment.

  • What is NIC's event registration cancellation policy?
    • Cancellations must be submitted online via the event registration site or by email to  
    • Cancellations received by Wednesday, January 26 will receive a total refund. 
    • Cancellations received between January 27 – February 18, will be assessed a $295 administrative fee.  
    • Cancellations received between February 19 – March 4, will be as follows:

      • Operator: $795 cancellation fee
      • Developer/Capital Provider/Transactional: $995 cancellation fee 
      • Non-transactional: $1,395 cancellation fee 
    • After March 5, no refunds will be granted. 
    • NIC does not issue credits for future NIC events. 
    • In the event of registration cancellation, hotel rooms reserved at the NIC group rate may run the risk of also being cancelled. Conference re-registration will be at the current registration rates. 
  • What is NIC's event registration substitution policy?

    If you are no longer able to attend the 2022 NIC Spring Conference and your company would like to replace your registration with another colleague, a $295 administrative fee will be assessed to all registration substitutions from January 27 to February 18. No substitution requests will be accepted after February 18, 2022.

    The original registration will be canceled and your company will be provided a code to honor the rate of the original registrant for the new registrant.

  • Is there a room block rate for the hotel?

    NIC has reserved a limited amount of rooms at a discounted rate for registered attendees at the Omni Dallas. The discounted rate ($275 per night for single/double occupancy + applicable taxes) will be available through February 18, 2022 or until the NIC room block is sold out.

  • What is the discounted hotel room rate for registered attendees?

    The discounted rate for registered attendees at the Omni Dallas is $275 per night for single/double occupancy + applicable taxes.

  • How do I change/replace/cancel my hotel reservation?

    Please contact the hotel directly for name changes, arrival/departure changes, and/or cancellations. You may cancel your hotel reservation on or before 30 days prior to your check-in without penalty. Deposits are forfeited for cancellations received after 30 days prior to check-in.

  • Can I reserve a suite or meeting room at the upcoming event?

    Priority is given to NIC sponsors. Please contact for assistance. Learn how to become a sponsor.

  • What is a Huddle Space?

    Huddle Spaces are semi-private reserved areas of the Networking Lounge that are available for purchase if a Tier 3-5 sponsorship is secured. Learn how to become a sponsor.

  • When will the Attendee Listing become available?

    The electronic Attendee Listing will be available via the NIC Conference Mobile App in mid-February.


Networking Lounges

  • What is the Networking Lounge Etiquette?

    We kindly request attendees to observe good networking etiquette by following these policies:

    • The only company signage or display materials permitted are those posted by NIC.
    • Networking spaces must remain accessible and available at all times to all fellow conference attendees.
    • Networking Lounges are accessible only by badged conference attendees.
