James Lydiard is the Chief Strategy Officer of HarmonyCares (previously USMM). The nation’s largest independent Home Based Primary Care Practice, HarmonyCares provides Professional, Ancillary, and Allied Services in the homes of >32,000 patients in 35 MSA’s spread amongst 11 states. As the organizations CSO, James oversees growth, payment innovation, account management, and implementation functions.
Prior to joining USMM, James held Vice President roles at Strive Health and CareMore/Anthem. CareMore Health is an integrated health care delivery company and subsidiary of Anthem, serving over 200,000 members across 26 states. At CareMore, James led the national business division responsible for bringing CareMore’s care delivery model into the homes of vulnerable seniors with limited access to outpatient services.
Since 2007, James has been committed to improving care delivery operations, access, and affordable care models to frail and underserved patients and communities. His organizations, roles, and care teams championed mobile programs in more than 30 states. In his current and past accountable areas, James’ responsibilities have included P&L oversight, network strategy and development, product design, analytics & reporting, and growth.
James earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from The University of Arizona and is a Heath Care Innovation Program Graduate from University of Pennsylvania.
James is a routine contributor to various industry forums, such as National Investment Center (NIC) and Milken Institute on Aging. His innovate work aligning Senor Housing and Healthcare has been documented by ATI Advisory, McKnight’s, and Aging Media Network, and Harvard Business Review.
