ATI Advisory

Major retailers are redefining their role in influencing the health and well-being of their customers. Through billions of dollars invested in affordable housing and communities, financial alignment with health plans and provider groups through value-based care and acquisitions, and expansion of in-store and community-based health-related services, companies such as Amazon, Best Buy, CVS Health, Kroger, and Walmart are growing their footprints to facilitate accessible care. The senior housing and care industry is a valuable and underutilized hub for health and services coordination, offering an exceptional opportunity for more traditional players to advance person-centered care and health equity for older adults while benefiting from the concentration of residents and the potential for more cost-effective care delivery. This panel will feature leaders from major retailers and healthcare companies discussing the opportunities to partner in new care delivery models with the senior housing and care industry. Big retail health companies can play a significant role in closing the health care gap for vulnerable populations (e.g., rural, low-income, communities of color).
